Military Family Support Groups for New and Expectant Parents

Being a new parent can be one of the most bewildering, exciting, and overwhelming times of your life. If you’re not careful, it can be isolating as well. But it doesn’t have to be! Find your tribe and get connected with other new and expectant parents in the Quantico area. This is not a road you should walk alone. Military family support groups and classes can help you build relationships with other new parents in your community.

The New Parent Support Program (NPSP) is an voluntary strength-based parent education program […] Program eligibility is offered to all Marines, other military service members, family member who are expectant parents and parents of children from birth to five years of age. […] Through a variety of programs such as home visits, support groups, and parenting classes, the NPSP can help families adjust to having a new baby in the home, cope with stress related to deployment/post-deployment issues, change in family dynamics and/or improve parenting skills. Even if you have been raising your family for a few years, challenges may arise as your child grows and develops.
